I'm a big believer that our internal, or emotional I'm a big believer that our internal, or emotional GPS will give us a nudge and let us know that we're off course ... but we can only hear it if we're really listening.

And it doesn't speak in everyday language and full sentences!

Maybe it is the persistent low-level dread. Feeling emotionally flat. The nagging sense that "surely this can't be it," or the everlasting exhaustion that rest just doesn't seem to fix.

These might not just be stress symptoms. They very well might be your emotional compass trying to give you directional signals.

The courage to course-correct is usually harder than whatever choice you meandered your way into.

But the cost of staying committed to the wrong direction keeps compounding.

It's the things that never scream for attention, but are vital to building and sustaining the path and success you crave.

So maybe it's the workout that does nothing once, but if you ignore it too long, you one day notice that you can't walk up a flight of stairs and your health is declining.

Or the client relationships that you take for granted until you one day realize that the client has moved on.

Using the Eisenhower Matrix model, the most important work is the strategic work.

Don't get complacent and overlook it.

When are we being compassionate? And when are we b When are we being compassionate? And when are we being an enabler?

As a recovering People Pleaser, I've struggled with this myself. Because the action can look identical in the moment. We're "helping".

But one ultimately builds capability in people, and the other builds dependency.

The very best leaders hold their people to high standards, and "teach them how to fish". Not because they don't care about their feelings, but precisely because they care about their development deeply.

What is life asking of you? I was listening to s What is life asking of you?

I was listening to some of Viktor Frankl's work recently. He who wrote the famous Man's Search for Meaning.

And he talks about reorinting ourselves in relationship to life.

We don't choose what happens to us.
But we can always choose how we respond.
